Dr.Sanjiv Mazumdar Executive Director (QC) IndianOil Marketing is also on the Board of Lubrizol India Pvt Ltd as Director LIPL.
With a PhD. in Heterogenous Catalysis from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, he joined IndianOil R&D in 1988 as Research Officer. He has moved through the complete value chain of the research segments of Automotive and Industrial Lubricants, Fuels and Additives , Tribology, Renewable Energy, Industrial Biotechnology and Technology Promotion to the current position while advancing his management skills through prestigious Threshold Program on General Management of IIM Ahmedabad , Advanced Management Program of ASCI Hyderabad and Strategic Change Management at SDA Bocconi School of Management, Milan.
In his current position, he leads the research, development and deployment in the areas of Refining Technology including Catalysts, Pipelines Research, Fuels and Additives, Extraction & Distillation and a new vertical of Energy Storage & Battery Research. His major responsibilities are effective technical support for the implementation of BS-VI fuels as scheduled for implementation in India in April 2020 and performance validation of new products and process technology leading to commercialization.
He has to his credit more than 90 papers in national and international journals and conferences, 2 working patents and 24 product and process patents that are filed. His game changer work on railroad segment has been recognized through Young Scientist Award of Indian Chemical Society, National Petroleum Management Program Award, National Award of Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. Other major awards received are World Petroleum Congress WPC Award 2017 and Federation of Indian Petroleum Industries FIPI Award 2017. Member of Society of Automotive Engineers, Tribology Society of India, Indian Society of Analytical Scientists, he has guided one PhD student from UPES. Another student is pursuing his PhD. program from IIT Delhi under his guidance.Back to Advisory Board page
